How To Use The Law Of Attraction In Interior Design
I know, you’re thinking what the heck does the Law of Attraction have to do with interior design?!
Well, here’s what happened. I became fixated on this painted chandelier I found on Google Images. I just had to have it for my client, it was perfect! Well, we searched and searched for something similar. I finally found it on Craigslist, was ready to order it, until I realized it was located in Pennsylvania. Too far for me, and my client wasn’t up to a road trip, and the seller wouldn’t ship. Darn! So we kept looking, but now I was giving up and moving to plan B.
While I was out shopping for a few great finds for my client at a local consignment shop, just about to check out, I happened to look up, and there it was! It took my breath away, like it was waiting for me to look up! (It was upside down I discovered when I got home and started fiddling with it)
I swear I attracted it 2 times to me. I unconsciously used the law of attraction and willed that diamond in the rough pretty chandelier to me!
I’ve done that a lot in my personal life as well as in my career. I just set my sites on something, imagine that I have it and how it would look, how it may feel, what others would think of it…and then I go crazy trying to find it. I usually do just when I’m about to give up on it. I figure if it was meant to be… and that’s when it jumps out of nowhere! I swear.
That’s how to use the law of attraction. You have to imagine it with all your senses feel like you have it and then let it go and just stay open to what happens. I say, “This or something better”.
I actually attracted a car to me once. My aunt paid me a visit one day. I wasn’t home when she got there so she visited with my family and waited for me. When I pulled into my driveway, I saw the most adorable, cool, gorgeous car! I wondered who was here. The car made my heart skip a beat! I fell in love with it! I came through the door, saw my wonderful aunt, gave her a hug and said, “I’m getting that exact car, I love it! She said, “OK”, I’m sure you will someday”. (We weren’t in the market for a new car since my husband had just lost his job and she knew that, hence her well intended skepticism) But I knew I would have it soon.
As life would have it, two weeks later my old car took a turn for the worst and I was forced to shop for a another car. I decided to just go see what Volkswagon had, just to browse. Well there it was. A gorgeous VW convertible beetle, same color, same everything! I couldn’t believe it. The only one there. Needless to say, they used my old car as a trade, my car payments went up only $25 and I was a happy camper and a true believer in the law of attraction!!!
Turned out we never used the chandelier. My client felt safer with purchasing “new” so we went with something store bought yet still fantastic! My car ended up kicking the bucket a few years later.
